Biography
Rebecca McConkey-Greene has more than 14 years of experience practicing law in Minnesota State Courts, as well as the Leech Lake, Bois Forte, Mille Lacs, and White Earth Tribal Courts. Her experience at both the trial and appellate level has given her insight into what works-and doesn't-in the legal system. She began her practice with Anishinaabe Legal Services representing domestic violence victims on family law and other matters impacting their lives. She then moved on to be inhouse counsel for the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe and then White Earth Band of Chippewa. In 2014 Rebecca opened the McConkey-Greene Law Office in Park Rapids, MN. She moved the firm to Duluth in 2016, where she continues to serve individual and Tribal clients. Rebecca serves on a several initiatives designed to improve court experience. Rebecca is honored to be a Deputy Judge for the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe's Tribal Court, and during the pandemic, became a quailed civil neutral. Rebecca's undergraduate degrees were in Economics and Finance. Prior to attending law school, she worked in the financial services industry first with John G. Kinnard and Co., and then with RBC Dain Rauscher, where she held Series 7 and 63 licenses.
Rebecca's commitment to her clients' best interests grounds her practice in respect and compassion, while she honors her clients' wishes for themselves, their families, and their communities as she helps them navigate and resolve their legal issues.
